WEBSITE LETS YOU REGISTER VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE

Your friend is getting married or there's a baby shower, birthday, holiday party, whatever the occasion and you need to send a gift. So how do you know where they've registered or if they've even done so? Drop a hint? Not very subtle. You know the frustration so why do the same thing when your own gift-giving occasion comes up?

MyRegistry.com is really the ultimate gift registry because now all you have to do is provide the link to your own personal registry that you can create in minutes. Using their Announcement Center, it will tastefully inform everyone about your personal registry and how to get there. You can choose from several designed eCards. After entering all of the email addresses to where you want your announcement to be delivered, you can also keep track of your list in case you want to use the same email addresses again for some other function in the future. You can also see who has accessed your registry which is really a terrific ability if you want to keep tabs on who's seen your wish list and who hasn't. This way if they show up empty handed and you know they've visited your registry, well you can draw your own conclusions.

As a member of MyRegistry, com, you have the ability to add gifts to your personal registry from any and every store in the world, even if that little store around the block or that exotic store around the world doesn't have its own website. It works with everything.

If you do find a gift that you want on a store's website, MyRegistry, com has provided a little tool bar addition with a button labeled "Add to MyRegistry." When you click on it, a new window pops open that asks you to type in any details regarding the item. Then press the "Add this Gift" button and that item is added to your registry. It's really simple. MyRegistry, com also has a Gift Ideas" link where you can browse through literally millions of items. Other items of help are "Find Stores" and comparison shopping to help find the same item at the best price.

And with MyRegistry, com, you don't have to limit those gift wish lists to store merchandise. Now you can put items you wouldn't or couldn't typically have on an ordinary registry. For example, you can request airline tickets for that honeymoon trip. For when you arrive, how about requesting scuba diving lessons? Or you could request that a donation to your favorite charity be made. It's really up to you how creative you can get.

Here's another thing you can ask for that you normally wouldn't. Cash! Normally asking for cash on a registry is considered to be tasteless. But MyRegistry, com has a very creative way to get around that. On your personal registry, you can set up special cash gift funds. You could set up a Mortgage Fund for example. This is set up to help the newly weds pay off the mortgage. Other examples could be an automobile fund to help the newly weds buy their first car, a baby's college fund, you get the idea. So now when a cash gift is made, it's made to an appropriate fund and giving the cash is no longer considered to be tacky. Cash is given via PayPal so there will be a small fee for doing so.

Other than the PayPal charges associated to giving cash, MyRegistry, com is completely free to setup and use for both you and the ones who give. Happy shopping.
